OPEN MINDS
John Wesley, the founder of the early Methodist movement said, ‘In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, diversity; in all things charity’. Through programs such as Disciple Bible Study and our Sunday morning current events ‘Coffee House’, and seasonal studies, we experience diversity by engaging each other in our different ways of contemplating and living our life, our faith, our vocation, our civic responsibilities and our relationship with God. We are unified in believing that God is a loving God, actively involved in our lives. Oakwood United Methodist Church is also a multi-national congregation, with members who have lived in or who have been citizens of countries throughout the world.
